JOHN W. STEMPECK
Mr. Stempeck is the founder of Avalon Associates. He has provided a broad range of professional services, including strategy development, product and business development, and merger and acquisition services. Mr. Stempeck spent 10 years as Director at Braxton Associates (now Deloitte Consulting), Partner at EDS Management Consulting, and Vice President at Xerox Corporation. Mr. Stempeck worked in product design at Polaroid Corporation (seven patents) after his BSEE from MIT and MBA from Boston University.

WILLIAM A. MORRISON
Mr. Morrison specializes in strategy and shareholder value. He has extensive experience with the consulting firms of Marakon Associates (shareholder value), Braxton Associates (strategy), Bain & Company (strategy), and Ernst & Ernst (operations), following six years with ITT Avionics and Martin Marietta. He did strategic planning at Gulf Oil for two years and has consulted in over 20 industries, including manufacturing, high-tech, marketing, service, and natural resources. Mr. Morrison is a graduate of Columbia University.

CRAIG LENTZ
Since 1984, Mr. Lentz’s major consulting activity has been through The Windsor Group, Ltd., in Boston. His clients were heavily involved in the worldwide energy industries, including oilfield services, power generation, O&G pipelines, downstream process plants, and most major segments of the engineering & construction industry. Assignments are typically at the senior management or board level, where knowledge regarding the clients’ core attributes and key market segments are important. For the five years previous to that, he was a co-owner of Braxton Associates, an international strategy consulting firm with offices in Boston, London, and Houston. From 1971 to 1979, Mr. Lentz was a staff member at Arthur D. Little, Inc., Cambridge, Massachusetts. Mr. Lentz is a graduate of Penn State University with an honors degree in Engineering, and he holds an SM in Management from the Sloan School at MIT.

BILL EBELING
Mr. Ebeling has over 30 years of experience in strategy development. As a founder of Braxton Associates, Bain’s first spin-out, Bill helped develop the firm into a premier strategy consulting firm that was sold to Deloitte in 1984. He focuses on growth strategies for technology-intensive firms such as Corning where he worked for roughly 10 years. Mr. Ebeling has an SB and SM (now MBA) in Management from MIT.

DAVID T. EMOTT
Mr. Emott has extensive experience in industrial acquisitions, divestitures, valuation, due diligence, transaction structuring and deal negotiation gained as CFO of Ensign Bickford Industries, Inc., and Acquisitions Manager of The Dexter Corporation. Mr. Emott, retired in 2005, authored Practitioner’s Complete Guide to M&As, John Wiley & Sons, Inc. in 2011 and provides acquisition consulting services to clients. Mr. Emott graduated with a BS from The University of Bridgeport and an MBA in Finance from Iona College.
